The enchantingly beautiful Upper Wye Valley in Mid Wales is one of the most unspoilt landscapes in Britain. This tour takes you across the Welsh hills and down to the Wye Valley and then back through the beautiful 'black and white' villages of Herefordshire.
Day 1: Arrival in Teme Valley and cycle to Presteigne, 15 miles (24 km).
Takes you to Presteigne on the River Lugg
Day 2: Presteigne to Hay-on-Wye, 20 or 40 miles (32 or 64 km).
Takes you to the quaint town of Hay-on-Wye, where time can pass you by while you browse in the many secondhand bookshops. Out of the four days cycling, this is the only day that is stretching (40 miles and a hill at Glascwm). However, there is an alternative easy route of 20 miles. The rest of the time you are cycling in river valleys - and there are plenty of teashops to fuel you on your way.
Day 3: Hay-on-Wye to Weobley, 16 miles (26 km).
Brings you meandering through some lovely 'black and white' villages until you reach Weobley for your next overnight stop.
Day 4: Weobley to Teme Valley, 17 miles (27 km).
Brings you back to the starting point for your onward journey home.
